Back 40
BC40 is inspired by the legendary Back 40 trail system in North West Arkansas, United States.
Grinding climbs alternating with fast swooping decents. The area where the Allied BC40 comes into its own.
Key Features
Frameset Weight
The frameset is only weighing 1950 grams.
Geometry
Predictable handling at speed on technical terrain due to the slacker headtube angle. A positive side effect is that the longer front-to-centure dimension is shifting the weight of the rider further towards the backwheel. This gives more control at higher speeds.
Suspension
The BC40 is designed for a front and rear suspension of at least 120mm travel. However, to match the terrain optimally, this can be tuned down to 100mm.
The Faux Bar Flex Stay ensures pedaling efficiency at every push.
Bottle Mounts
2 Bottlecages can be mounted on the Allied BC40. Fit one one the down tube and one on the seat tube.
Derailleur Hanger
Sram UDH. New Sram Transmission mountainbike derailleurs can be mounted directly to the frame. For other brands and derailleurs, the Sram UDH Derailleur hanger must be used.
Max tire size
29 x 2.4" (61mm)
