AVALON 25 CARBON WHEELS

The Avalon 25 carbon is the perfect disc brake wheelset: asymmetrical, light, strong and stiff. It is the ultimate climbing and safe descending wheelset with an incredibly low weight of just 345g. per rim.

At 9th Wave, we've made the asymmetrical rim design our signature. When we see the possibility of using asymmetric rims, we apply this technology to make stiffer and more durable wheels. So when disc brake road bikes arrived, we immediately decided to translate our knowledge of mountain bike disc rims into road bikes, resulting in an asymmetrical, tubeless road disc rim design.

We have used our proven inner rim profile for easy and secure fitting of tubeless tires. But where hookless rims are the standard in mountainbiking, we have made a small hook for secure attachment of the tires at higher tirepressure. And while we were at it, we designed the rims extra wide to fit tires from 25mm to 40mm perfectly (wider tires fit, smaller ones don't). The result is a unique 25 mm deep rim with the proven benefits of asymmetrical mountain bike rims combined with the specific requirements of road racing.

Avalon wheels are built with the new 9th Wave Mira Centerlock hubs and come standard with tubeless rim tape and lightweight aluminum valves.

The delivery process

After your order, our warehouse team gathers all the necessary parts and prepares them for the workshop. In the workshop, the bike is fully assembled and extensively tested. Then the bike goes to the packing station in the warehouse, where it is carefully packed. Accessories are added to the box, after which the bike is shipped to a destination in the Netherlands or worldwide. This way, we make sure your bike arrives safe and complete.
