    Product description

    Princeton DUAL 5550 All-road wheelset

The Dual 5550 ushers in a new era for Princeton CarbonWorks with a dedicated all-road wheelset designed around wider tires for life on and off pavement. The Dual 5550 was born when a better wheel was needed for Paris Roubaix 2021. The goal was to create a light and strong rim that was aerodynamically optimized around 30 to 32mm tires. With an inner width of 22mm, the Dual 5550 has a tubeless-ready hooked rim offering riders the greatest flexibility in tire choice and tire pressure. From 28mm road clincher tires with inner tubes at higher pressures all the way up to 50mm knobby tubeless tires at very low pressures, the Dual 5550 will thrive in any terrain – on any surface. In addition to both rim and disc brake options, the Dual 5550 is available in tubeless clincher and tubular form, all with Princeton CarbonWorks’ signature hole-less tire bed for the best user experience and maximum stiffness. Hooked rims provide the widest array of tire choices with no tire pressure maximum, as well as the ability to run both classic inner tubes or tubeless.

At Princeton CarbonWorks, uncompromising performance is a core design tenet, and the Dual 5550 is not only ready for toughest road and trail conditions but does so with a rim weight below 500g and complete disc-brake wheelset weights as low as 1440g. Dual 5550 is available immediately in Matte Black, Matte White, Gloss Chrome and Gloss Gold finished, with your choice of White Industries, Tune, Industry Nine, CarbonTi, Chris King, DT Swiss, and Tactic Racing. Laced with Sapim CX-Ray spokes and Sapim SecureLock nipples.

Wheelsets come with 2 padded Princeton CarbonWorks wheelbags, tubeless valves, and skewers and brake pads for rim brake sets.
